Dream Coaching
for children is something that we like to call "Imagination Coaching." But
before we dive into the HOW, let's talk about the WHAT and WHY.
What is a Dream Coach?According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary,
Why do kids need a Dream Coach?As we stated above, we believe that as a society we are unknowingly training ourselves and our children NOT to dream. We want to be realistic and so we begin to push imagination and dreams outside of our thoughts. In our schools, children are encouraged to color in the lines and to use realistic colors and stories. We are over scheduled, overbooked and over stressed, and that leaves little time to the imagination (or for dreaming).We believe that Kids (and adults too) NEED to imagine! It relieves stress, gives us hope and helps us take a peek at what could be! We also believe that a Dream Coach for a child is someone who will foster an imagination. In the definition of dream it says "a visionary creation of the imagination" So, in reality, couldn't we change out the word imagination for dream? Then we would have IMAGINATION COACH, which is exactly what we do here at Imagine My Future! Imagination CoachSo by definition, an imagination coach would be someone who would instruct, train, or tutor you in imagination (or creativity, dreams, inventiveness...).Our goal is to help you realize why imagination is important for kids (and parents too) and to then give you the tools to find and use your imagination! when you begin to rediscover your imagination*!
